MCASD

Planned Giving

Since its founding in 1941, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego has benefited from the generous gifts of art and financial bequests of many donors, including the magnificent estate gift of Jackie and Rea Axline in 1999, who left a substantial bequest to ensure that the Museum they loved would live on to inspire future generations. From education and public programming to exhibitions and publications, our donors' committed relationship to MCASD keeps the energy, power, and excitement of contemporary art alive.

Many individuals continue to strengthen the MCASD legacy through their own bequests and other planned giving vehicles. Such charitable contributions ensure that MCASD remains a vibrant and exciting space for contemporary art as well as an inspirational and transformative experience for art lovers of all ages.

Today planned gifts are more important than ever to the Museum's stability and future success. Through planned giving, the Museum is able to build and preserve its collection, as well as create innovative programs to increase people's understanding of contemporary art and draw inspiration for the artists of tomorrow. It is a personal investment and a chance to share a passion of the arts with future generations.
